Not only was the store neglecting a spill in front of a cooler in Aisle 16. I immediately searched for an employee to tell them what happened. I was clearly hurt and was walking funny and was offered no assistance or sympathy not even an, “Are you okay?” I then asked who the manger on duty was at the cashier. I wasn’t given a name and the Maher was not called to the front they were just paged to call the front. I was then asked by the cashier after the manager called if I needed to speak to them. That should not even have been a question. I was a retail store manger for years and if anyone ever slipped or fell not only was it my duty to come out and talk to the customer it was the polite thing to do. I showed the cashier my leg that was clearly already red from the fall and again was not asked if I needed assistance…. I just fell and I didn’t even get help to my car! I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer assistance and courtesy! I couldn’t stay because my son has to get picked up in a window of 315-330 due to Covid standardprocedures at his school otherwise I would have to file an incident report.
At this point I really am unsure. An apology would have been nice but I didn’t even get that face to face from the manger. I may have seek outside counsel on this. I’m in a lot of pain and now have to wait for my husband to come get me from my sisters house because my leg is hurting.
