My complaint:

Although when it’s busy up front, checkers cannot check lanes for overstock and pick up baskets, but if not busy they stand around and yap, look at their phones. Mostly the teens. They do not clean the lanes properly. Should do stocking making candy and gum in lanesoresentable, and stocked. They don’t clean where the separater bars are ( so many hands on the those. I clean in the separate bar slot and its filthy. I clean the receipt machine and where you turn on labe light. It gets very dusty and dirty behind there plus we use our fingers to turn on lights. No sweeping done at registers by checkers or some front end managers except 2 or 3 of us that I’ve noticed. Found broken glass at a register under candy shelves and lots of berries under there and other produce or food, the foot rests area are dirty and where we put our garbage and paper towel and cleaner under register filthy. Most cashiers mostly teens but older people too do not clean they stand there waiting for a customer and yap. They should get the baskets, get overstock items that are left in the lane especially the frozen, dairy, fruit etc. Most cashiers don’t do that. It’s really hard to get baggers to do their job. They should be getting baskets also. Some front end managers don’t do the checklist, cleaning and checking all lanes especially the debit credit machines. There is only one person I know does that. One of my managers and I clean out the trays once a week or so that pull out from under the belt where a lot of crumbs and liquid go. We clean them disinfect and put new aluminum foil in them. There are 2 on each lane. Most of the cashiers do not wear gloves. That should be mandatory during these covid times protecting their health and the customer also. My doctor says the fingers and hands are the dirtiest part of our body and handling all that cash is very dirty. The upstairs breakroom and bathrooms are disgusting. The fridge door broke one day and was not replaced for at least a week. But that break room is disgusting and I cannot go up there. Breaks should be more than 15 minutes. It takes 5 minutes to go upstairs if they do. It’s very unfair. Especially if a person has 2 jobs and not enough time to eat in between jobs.

Suggested solution:

Have Sit down with each person about cleaning and working protocol especially those above extra steps to keep our customers from complaining. I hear alot of complaints from them about the lazy people. And complaints about how dirty the floors and lanes are especially the belts.
