My complaint:
If you are offering free items for U members then they should be in stock when we go there! Every week I go specially to get the items and spend more time trying to locate the item than finally find someone who is able to tell me where the item is… go to that location, have to find another employee in that area who then informs us the item sold out the day before. I ask if there is a substitute item and they say no. This is getting to be so frustrating for my family and friends that we are now considering doing all of our shopping at Marianos which is now a closer distance than Jewel is. The product today was the Open Nature Cheese Crips, last week it was the salad dress. Two weeks ago I purchased the chedder goldfish only to find out that they did not ring up at .49 but all the other items rang up properly. This program was supposed to attract more buyers I assume? But the frustration with this is driving me and my family away. Had my boyfriend sign up for the program a month ago and now he is receiving the emails as well. He is a Marianos shopper trying to get me to convert. First time he tried to use his phone to get water on sale…wouldn’t go through..then he tried to purchase a 2 liter of DR pepper and you have to purchase 8 to get the price of $.88..that was it for him. I live walking distance to Marianos but chose Jewel for the rewards and I’m done. I am the coupon shopper in the family and will be switching my family and friends over to Meijer and Marianos
Suggested solution:
They should figure out how to order enough product correctly and if it does sell out then offer a substitute product. Also, there should be a map if there isnt already, where to find the products you are looking for.
