My complaint:
I purchased frozen Pork Baby Back Ribs on 07022021 for a 4th of July BBQ. The offer was buy 1 get 2 free of equal or lesser value, $32.97, $32.92, and $32.87. I marinated overnight and grilled on low with a smoker box; while the ribs tasted fine, except they were extremely tough! At another BBQ on the 4th, friends had purchased the same ribs from Jewel-and those were just as tough and hard to chew as mine.
I took the remaining two back since they were useless and not worth the effort to prepare them. I spoke with the front store manager, Veronica Hernandez and she stated I needed to bring all three slab of ribs back. I informed her I had cooked one slab and that was how I determined how tough they were. The store managed stated since they were buy 1 get 2 free, I had eaten the one I purchased and the remaining two were the free ones!
Suggested solution:
I did not expect to get a full refund, but the it could have been prorated. The average of all each slab is $10.97, since I was returning two slabs they should have refunded me $21.95. But not according to the manager-the two remaining slabs were the Free Ones! So I could not get a refund, when the store manager said I can have them back, I said they were garbage - throw them in the trash!
