My complaint:
I teach middle school. My students were laughing and reiterating about the new commercial What the Buck. This type of marketing is classless and in very poor taste. We need more intelligent advertising on TV, especially at 7 AM, all day, and early evening. The children are our future and the writers for Jackson Hewitt seem to think that it’s creative to make reference to crude and uncivilized language. Frankly, I don’t know how this commercial got past the FCC! It should be rethought, and removed forever. I am personally going to share my feelings about this commercial with as many friends and relatives that I can, in hopes that there’s power in numbers! Shame on you, Jackson Hewitt. 😡
