My complaint:
What the buck and buck yeah are inappropriate commercial double speak that kids and people who don’t use such language shouldn’t be subjected to. What kind of marketing strategy seeks to alienate part of it’s potential customer base?
Suggested solution:
Remove the commercial.
I say remove the commercial. I would not use this tax service because of the commercial.
I think the What the buck commercial is in bad taste. I would prefer my tax professionals to be professional not a child looking for shock value.
I completely agree, I will never again do business with this company.
That’s the best you can come up with is a play on a filthy word? You think I want my kids hearing and repeating that phrase? It’ll be a cold day before I ever use your service!
If you don’t want your kids to hear this commercial then put the channel on Disney snowflake. If I have to share a bathroom with gender neutral people because they are offended that they have to go in a certain one then I’m offended this offends you.
I agree! Poor choice of words for a commercial. First few times it came on I was not looking at the TV and could not believe what I thought I had heard. After hearing this, it would be enough for me to not use J H for my taxes.
Remove the commercial please, too inappropriate.
We all know what the phrase is slyly implying. It is in very poor taste. The choice of words is not something I would expect from a professional company.
This commercial is terrible! Unprofessional and disrespectful to its viewers!!!!! Please remove it!!!!!!
I agree. I decided when I heard the commercial that I will never switch to Jacson Hewitt. How disgusting to use that in an ad.
I do not appreciate your new commercial.
Some suggest pulling it, I suggest pulling it and find a way to apologize for it.
I agree. That’s why I found this page was to complain that this commercial is offensive. I would not use your company to fill out my taxes!
I agree. Language is offensive and it isn’t a “cute” okay on words. I will never use business that are using this type of language!
I agree it is very inappropriate and unnecessary for a business establishment. Will no longer utilize their services.
Awful every time I here it. What is wrong with our country that they would think this is ok? Can’t they come up with anything else. Disgusting.
I agree that it is totally inappropriate. My ten year old granddaughter was in the room when it came on, and was stunned, as was I!
Every time I hear this commercial I have to do a double-take before I realize that they are saying “BUCK” instead of the other word. I use the other word a lot but I still believe it’s not appropriate to use a sound-alike phrase on a broadcast commercial.
You have made this commercial to be on the edge with the way you use “buck yeah” and it is a double standard. It is too similar to “fuck yeah” and your advertising people should know better. As a parent and teacher, I see that you are promoting a standard that is not acceptable. I don’t care if YOU think its cute to do a play on words, but in the real world with young kids and teenagers who are very impressionable, this can be a very serious issue in the classroom. Not only could it cause them to be… Read more »
Terrible commercial!
I agree… totally inappropriate and distasteful !
I was shocked when I heard the commercial. I had to do a double take. I couldn’t believe what I heard.
I totally agree….remove the commercial
Making light of using obscenities reveals a great deal about this firm’s integrity, values, and standards. Granted, they likely hired an advertising company to create the campaign, but in the end it was someone’s decision to give this utterly horrible commercial the go-ahead. That person should be terminated.
Truly disgusting. I hope it will drive people to H&R Block or any other tax service.
Inappropriate commercial and not funny. I am glad to see many others feel the same way and I will never use anyone that thinks this is cute way to advertise.
