IHOP complaint: POOR SERVICE and OVERCOOKED FOOD

My complaint:

I visited this establishment on Sunday, September 4, 2023. I had 4 guest to include myself. The restaurant was pretty empty (approximately 3-4 tables of guest, however their were several people waiting on take out orders. First when we walked in their was no one physically at the front to seat us which took about 3-5 minutes before someone came to acknowledge and seat us us. Once seated the hostess advised us that our server (Reggie) would be right over to take our orders. After waiting for approximately 10 minutes he came to our table. He took our drink orders and said he would be back. After waiting 24 minutes for our drinks they finally was served. Then he took our order. We asked the server if they had grits because it was clearly on the menu and he said he didn’t know and he would find out. Well that didn’t happen either. The waiter did not right anything down said he would remember each of our orders. NOT. We waited over an hour to get our food and guess what the orders were WRONG. At this point we were angry and hungry. The food came out semi warm not as if it was just prepared. The pancakes were overcooked and crunchy never knew pancakes suppose to be crunchy. My husbands eggs was suppose to have cheese and they didn’t. The hashbrowns were extremely cooked (burnt) as you can see from the pictures I have attached. We never got a response about grits until I called the manager over and she said they didn’t have grits. Please tell me why the staff could not answer that question about grits. At that point I complained to the manager how disappointed I was with the service as well as the quality and quantity of the food that was served to us. IHOP has normally maintained high standards as far as their food (breakfast) but not at this particular store. I have visited several IHOPs over the United States and I have to say this one was by far the WORST one I had ever been to in 40 years. This was unacceptable as a paying and customer. When we left their were telling walking in customers that it was a 25-30 minute wait but their were approximately 12 customers dining in sitting at tables and I had 3 plus myself included in that 12. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED, SHOCKED AND NOW HAVE A SOUR TASTE IN THE MOUTH ABOUT eating at IHOP. I have attached photos of todays breakfast. This is definitely not the IHOP standards. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND UNSATIFIED….

Suggested solution:

That is for your organization to decide and resolve. I am just a paying DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER that may not visit IHOP again.
