My complaint:
After almost 5 years of being a customer at this specific location in Deer Park, my tax preparer Joseph Labarka fell ill before he started my amended tax return. After almost 2 months went by with no response or even answer as to why my amended taxes weren’t filled I got thrown a few managers including Catherine who spoke down to me and said what do you want from me, and how should I know what happened to your taxes, in an angry voice.
Finally after calling and speaking to different secretaries and tax preparer, they said first it would cost $55 for the amendment then she said $100, I asked after all the trouble I was put through by this location if they could please waive the fee she said absolutely not, what you went through doesn’t warrant that, we were just busy for a while. I feel this is very bad business and they conducted themselves in a poor manner.
Suggested solution:
I am requesting this office in deer park, NY to waive the fee for not even knowing what happened to my taxes, and throwing me around to different tax preparers with nothing completed for over a month.
