My complaint:
My wife, my 8 year old daughter and myself spent the weekend of 22522 to 22722 at the Hilton located at 120 West Market Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
We attempted to use the pool both nights but unfortunately it was occupied by a group of younger females (aproximately 8 to 9 of them) who were loudly playing and singing (just shy of screaming) vulger music on their large blue tooth speaker. The music included Wet as P%y as well as other songs all including lude and offensive language. They were twerking and generally just being completely disrespectful to the fact there were young children in the pool. I let it go on Friday night and we simply left the pool area. It happened again on Saturday night, so I messaged Hilton on my rewards app to ask someone to come up and ask the girls to turn the music down. Someone did come up and ask them to turn it down and of course they wanted to argue but ultimately turn it down enough to get security to leave. However, as soon as security left it started again. I then messaged Hilton again describing the situation including a detailed description of the music being played. My response from Cassandra at Hilton was summed with this basic response from her. As long as the was at an acceptable level (which as stated before, it was turned back up and the singing started again after security left) they were not going to take any action. Cassandra stated that the pool was a public area and if we did not like the content or volume of the music, we should just leave the pool area. Cassandra also instructed me not to use such descriptive language when messaging her. I was simply giving her a specific detailed description to what we were experiencing. I find it ironic that she did not appreciate my descriptive language but could care less about what other families in the pool were experiencing. There was another family with 2 young children in the pool at this time as well who left because of the situation. It is obvious that Hilton Hotels is not concerned about the experience of all their patrons. I did not ask that they be removed, I simply asked for the other guests to respect the fact that there are other FAMILIES in pool. Unfortunately, I did not take video or screen shot my messaging correspondence with Hilton and my Hilton Honors will not let me access the thread due to my stay being over.
Suggested solution:
Hilton should take a stance that all guests are equally important. They should largely and clearly post that loud offensive music (grossly explicit language is prohibited in PUBLIC spaces) to ensure that all guests experience pleasant stays.
