My complaint:
Hi there,
We shopped at the H-mart near the University of Alberta. But it’s really an awful experience. And I will never go to this store again. Here is my complaint and I hope you can fix the issue and maybe check their suspicious scale.
We bought several items today including some vegetables charged by weight (shown in the picture). It seems that they weigh everything around 1 lb more. (long story before we decide to double-check. Normally I don’t even keep the receipt. But my wife has a special feeling for that tomato which shouldn’t be so heavy and I don’t even believe the store dares to do this.)
I brought the bokchoy back since it’s light, but also pictures showing other wrong items and asked for a refund. While they can only refund what I have. And they have to weigh other items even with the picture. I am very disappointed. I don’t want to spend another ~20 minutes going back and forth for like ~$5. And we probably used the tomato already. And I also doubt they use the wrong scale, which is not accurate and it could randomly add weights to the items.
I am very curious whether they can just do that. Weighing something more and overcharging without any punishment???
So if that’s true. Every time they just over-charged the customers. If we catch it, they require us to spend extra time to bring items back to the store even though we live far away from the store. I really do not believe people will spend time or gas for that ~ $5. If we do not find it, they just earn extra money without any punishment. That’s unfair for sure.
I guess my request is that 1. they should refund me for sure. 2. their scale should be inspected by a 3rd party. 3. They should apologize fore sure. 4. I am not sure there is any punishment for their overcharging, or it should be unfair for all the customers.
Best,
Xiong
