My complaint:
A driver with the Grubhub sticker on the back window of their vehicle (dark brown Jeep Liberty), while traveling southbound on Mountain Avenue, nearing the intersection of W. Seventh Street, in the City of Ontario, CA at approximately 3:10 PM, cut my vehicle off from merging onto her lane. This was a two-lane street, with the left lane being closed for road work. As I was in that lane coming up to the road work site, and we were all at a stop awaiting the green light at the intersection, cars in front of me were making the staggered merge with cars in her lane. When it came time for me to merge in front of her vehicle, with my right turn indicator on to signal my intent to lane change, and with my car in front of hers by two car lengths, instead of allowing me to merge in front of her vehicle, she instead sped up, cutting my car off. I had to slam on my brakes to allow her to proceed. When she came up to me at the next stop light, she began to utter expletives through her window before driving off. In my vehicle was my family and senior citizen mother-in-law. Your driver was both unsafe and did not follow the simplest protocols of lane merging. Why she sped up to disallow me (the front vehicle) the opportunity to safely merge is beyond comprehension. This woman also had stickers of Uber Eats and Lyft in her rear window. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to get her license number, but the make and model I do have.
Suggested solution:
Hopefully, tracked down and fired. There is no excuse for reckless driving.
