My complaint:

I purchased 6 cards total for my children for Christmas. 1 card did not work, and the store told me to contact green dot to get it resolved. 2 of my other cards were locked and they refused to unlock them or return my money. I contacted the chat, the customer service and finally the corporate office. They told me the cards are cancelled, and that my money will remain in the account and I will not have access to it. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. As I tried to call back to corporate and the regular customer service line, the line kept disconnecting as if they blocked my number. I also write them on Instagram and Facebook. Several other were complaining and experiencing the same issue. This was hard earned money and my kids Christmas gift and they robbed us of it. I have all of my info for the cards, as well as all of my receipts and they will still not allow me access to my own money, and return the money from my card that isn’t working at all or letting me register it after I put my $100 on there for my child. I sat on hold for 6 and a half hours to speak to a live agent, and once they did answer they couldn’t provide me with any help, nor could the numerous chat sessions I had. They took my money, but nobody will help me or even answer my questions. The person I spoke with in corporate would ears extremely rude, wouldn’t allow me to speak with anyone else, and blatantly told me my money will stay in the account and I will not ever be granted access to it. This is unexceptable and they are crooks of the worst kind.

Suggested solution:

They should allow me access to my own money that they are stealing from us.
