My complaint:

This all started the the 7th or 8th of March 2022. I called the customer service on back of card because I had 2 unauthorized charges. As soon as I made the call my card was locked. It had all my money on it. I did not know that I would no longer have access to my money. I am 67 years old and I just don’t carry around cash. So in order to get my cash back to me by check which would take 2 weeks anyway I needed to send them my drivers license and a utility bill. Which I don’t pay utilities so I had no bill. Which I told them over and over. So I asked them if I could send them proof of medical insurance. They said o.k; March 8th or 9th. I sent in my documents and they gave me a case 89349916.. With the case number I figured things were getting done and that of course the paper work I sent in was good. March 10th thru 16th I called to make sure everything is still on track. I have absolutely no money, none. They say everything is good . Throughout them days I was placed on hold forever, and hung up on many times. March 17th I called and was immediately told that I would be receiving my refund check on March 23,2022, March 23rd no refund check so I called them up again. I couldn’t get a straight answer from anybody. One person actually turned his phone off in order not to speak to me. So now they are telling me I don’t have a case number and that I have to start all this over again over with a new case number 90658692. I had to send in my license and I did find the paper showing I was renting a camper in the middle of a field so I sent that in. So called lease agreement . Then they told me to call back the following week to see if the documents were going to work and to get the real time update on getting my check. Then after I called in again it would take another 2 weeks to get the refund check on top of that.

Suggested solution:

I believe that I should get my refund check immediately. I have no food, because I have no money. I have money I owe that hasn't been able to be paid and now have interest charges to them. I think I am going to have a nervous breakdown. I can't do this anymore . All I want is my money. Please. I posted my complaint on complain.biz

omg THIS HAPPENED TO MEE TOO!!!! someone stole $945 from my account. I called Greendot to notify them. They asked me to send them a copy of my ID along with a utility bill. after sending them what they need they then confirmed that they received the ID and Bill and They told me that I would get my refund check in 2weeks. Its been 3 weeks now still no check!! I’m super frustrated I still don’t have my money back. Every time I call they give me the run around. Does anyone know a lawyer that I can talk… Read more »
