My complaint:

Greendot has refused to refund my account for fraudulent activity. My card was compromised and I have filed a dispute for $935.33 for an only fans account. It was impossible to get thru to customer service and received terrible service. Below is the letter I received denying the claim.

Complaint Description:
Greendot has denied repaying a fraud that was done to my account. ack in June I received a call from what was supposed to be a Greendot Representative stating that my card had been compromised. After verifying information the person hung up on me and I tried calling back and realized that I had been scammed. I immediately called Green dot and stayed on hold for SEVERAL hours and was not able to get a rep. This happened several times over the course of a few days. I was locked out of my account for 24 hours and could not access my account. I finally was able to get into my account and stashed what funds I had. I read online and found a backdoor number and got a hold of a rep that told me it was hard to get a hold of a rep due to COVID 19 and people working from home. I explained that my account had been hacked. She then stated that I needed to canx my card and she would send another which never happened. I continued to try to call again when I realized she had not canx my card. But stashed money each time my check was deposited on my account and was unable to reach a rep again. After a month or so of trying I realized I needed to canx online. My account was hacked to the tune 0f $935.33 from someone using ¨Only Fanssomething I have never heard of or used. Greendot has denied my claim fully knowing that these accounts ARE NOT MINE and has refunded other money that was fraudlently stolen during that time frame. I want my money refunded to me because it is mine and I am a single mother of 5 children who works hard for my money. I have never heard of a company that has so many issues. My case number is Case 42664455. I will post the letter below that I recived from Greendot. This is unnacceptable. I have had this card for several years and I expect better and will not used their service again. Please refund my money. Case 42664455
