My complaint:

I bought the greendot prepaid card, to make an online purchase, and was modified to find out a year later that they’ve been charging me a monthly fee ever since. I’m now owe over $100 for them not doing anything.

I have tried to cancel by calling the number on the card, it takes your info and tells you that you can use the website for everything you need to do, and then hands up on you.
I went to the site, there is no way to cancel your account, let alone contact anyone to have them do so.
I downloaded the app, there is no way to cancel your account, or to talk to a person to have them help you do so.

Suggested solution:

This is an obvious scam.
I refuse to allow this company to try to do me off, out mess up my credit score, just so they can make a few bucks.
I want my account closed, and all charges to be dropped, as this company is very obviously keeping people from being able to cancel their accounts, so that they can keep bleeding them for money

It's fraudulent.
