My complaint:
I normally use the self scanner when I shop, Approximately 2 years ago they performed an audit and said I didn’t scan an item and asked if I still wanted it. I replied yes while telling her I’m almost positive I scanned it. My wife was with me and said to me that she was sure I scanned it. When the receipt printed out it showed I was double charged for the item. It was over $6.00. I showed her the receipt and she said I would have to go to customer service to get reimbursed. Today 09 21 2022 the same exact thing happened. When I told the lady this is the second time her answer was sometimes this happens. One mistake i can understand but this is twice that this has happened and I’m tired being wrongfully accused and of the embarrassment when the other shoppers can hear your employee say that I didn’t scan the item. People will assume I’m trying to steal something. I don’t feel just being reimbursed is sufficient for what I’ve had to endure twice because of Giants incompetence. Perhaps I need to find a new grocery chain to shop at.
