My complaint:
ZERO-STAR RATING!
GFL (gflenv.com) is a Canadian waste management company that has a monopoly over trash and recycle pickup locally. It took over the major trash companies in Fredericksburg to include Stafford County government and Shifflett’s.
Since it took over trash pickup around 2022 in this area, there have been MAJOR problems with missed pickups. I have had problems with them since their takeover that includes runarounds from them and phone calls not returned…all the while I still have to pay for the monthly service.
When I called and asked to speak with management today, it sounded like I was speaking to someone from somewhere else. They wouldn’t let me speak to management, nor give me their contact info. I left a callback number that was not returned.
There are MANY complaints and 1-star reviews about this company, including complaints to the Better Business Bureau. The Potomac Local News has several articles about this. There is something very wrong about the way this has fallen on the customers, and it’s time to get better visibility on this.
