My complaint:
I picked up the car and brought it home. When I went out to get back in the car it appeared to have a dead battery. I had not left anything on for sure. I went to pull the key out in the car and the key was stuck in the car. So I called a friend to come jump the battery open the hood well apparently the battery is in the truck OK no problem went to open the trunk couldn’t because the car had no power. I googled how to get the trunk open manually (about 1000 videos popped up saying how many issues this car has) and said to crawl to the back and somehow get in the very small trunk compartment and takeoff the back door panel, then look for a lever. I’m not interested in doing any of that. I called Getaround and them exactly what had happened. After going back-and-forth a little bit I realize there was no way I could even get to the battery much less jump the battery. I told them I need getaround to come get the car and to replace it with another. I was then told I did not get the road hazard insurance and I would have to pay for the tow. This is absolutely absurd I am not paying one dollar for this as something is wrong with this car it is notorious for these problems! after everything I’ve gone through I researched it and it’s ridiculous. There is a recall for the ignition switch which
what caused these issues. why would such a car even be part of their rental fleet?
Suggested solution:
I would like getaround to come get this car out of the driveway and bring me another car or credit my debit card back immediately
