My complaint:

I received this month bill with excessive charges. It indicated my total bill was $1046.16 with a credit of $415.14. It documented that my KWH consumption was 7,645. This is an outrageous number for monthly service at a private residence. My normal monthly consumption is around 900 Kwh per month. It documents that the bill is for a 9 month billing period. I have had my electric service at this home for 9 months and each month I have paid my total bill in full. I find it to be a coincidence that the amount owed this month is the exact same amount totaling all the payments that I have made over the last 9 months. It also documents that my meter changed, why I don’t know. I receive 4 different messages on my digital meter, one of which says it’s closed. Why? I have called 14 times during the week of September 11 to get this resolved. Each time I call I immediately get a message due to high call volume call back later or try to resolve on-line. There is no way to resolve this on-line and their website does not include a link to chat or file on on-line complaint. I believe there is either a problem with my meter or a glitch in their computer system. I would like a representative to contact me to have this issue resolved before a monthly payment is due. I pay my bills on a timely basis and I don’t want this disrupted. I have already filled out this complaint form at PSC FPL website at the beginning of the week and have not had it acknowledged by the next business day or any other acknowledgement. I understand that a utility increase was approved but looking at this months bill and the amount owed would indicate a 500% increase.
I want to speak with a live person to go over the bill and get this issue resolved ASAP.

Suggested solution:

I want to speak with a live person, not be stuck in an AI phone call loop. I even made a call at 8:00 and got the same high call volume message. NOT ACCEPTABLE
