Family Dollar complaint: Their POS system needs updating

My complaint:

Both Stores are great. There’ s great selection, great variety and great prices, however the check out experience is stressful. My Complaint is that the POS systems really need to be updated to accommodate more modern transactions. There have been many times, when I make a purchase, go over my budget, and need to put something, like 1 out of 100 items back, then they say they can not take out that one item. They HAVE TO VOID THE ENTIRE TRANSACTION! I know this is not the employees fault. Its the IT system they use, but it needs to get updated simply and easily so that items can simply be subtracted individually.! Theres nothing worse then being at the counter and having to put back everything you just bought or having to be rerung entirely, and theres a line of people behind you waiting, because you need to put back one item!! Come on this is 2021. Let IT fix this shit already. What’s up Internal Operations and tech people of These Dollar stores. Lets Change this. This is dumb! Then on top of it, the employees want to look mad and get upset at the customer when this happens! are you serious. Employees should stay respectful and kind to all clients, regardless of their financial situation!

Another time, I was in a Dollar General in Dallas, Ga, and the cashier TOLD me my purchase was approved, gave me the bags, I brought my bags in the car, and was pulling out of the parking space, when she came out the store , came up to my car, and told me: those items were not paid for and she would have to take them back. haahaha. I had to laugh. I just said okay, but now I’m thinking I should have just left. It was her fault for saying the purchase was approved!

So basically, Great Products, Just Horrible POS systems. Time to Update.
