My complaint:

Bottle of Lysol cleaner top came off when just exiting the store. Clerk or management at the time that it occurred stated they would not replace since it happened outside the store. I indicated why not, we just left and what if people take merchandise home and return it and say it’s was half full?

I had spent over $100.00 at the Family Dollar and we immediately returned inside. Then, another customer in the line said I’ll pay for another one. I said, no that’s besides the point. I could pay for another. The Management in charge let the man pay for another bottle for us and we kept the spilled bottle. I was very upset because it definitely was not handled in the proper manner and over such a small item and it was embarrassing in forth of other customers felt the need to get involved because they had all seen us pay for a cart full and leave the store and come right back to report and that was the reaction.

They should have just said lady go get another one and we could have been done without all the words in front of other customers and if in fact, that is a Family Dollar policy, it needs to be changed. I always tell the good managers about when I saw the Family Dollar ownerCEO on the
Under Cover Boss Show and how good he was to the employees who had been dedicated for years.
