My complaint:
October 2021 ~ I wrote an update on our little local Ski Hill ~ NON PROFIT ~ City of Lake City ~ Leased from DNR ~ Missaukee Mountain ~
I asked for people to send Donations to:
City of Lake City ~ PO Box 1 ~ Lake City, MI ~ 49651
I asked that the Checks be made out to Missaukee Mountain and mailed to the City of Lake City address.
INSTEAD ~ Unbeknown to me ~ Facebook ~ OPENED an Account in MY NAME asking people to Donate to it through Facebook.
Facebook began collecting money. Approximately $200, or more is in the fund.
I contacted FB NUMEROUS times regarding this and giving them all the information and ASKING them to send the money to the Address I listed above.
I INFORMED FB that they had NO RIGHT to OPEN an Account ILLEGALLY in MY NAME with OUT my permission.
I will NOT touch the money as I would have to pay taxes on it!!!
I did NOT open the Account ~ FB OPENED the Account in MY NAME.
FB REFUSES to send the MONEY to the City of Lake City.
FB DENIES the Information I have sent to them since OCTOBER 2021.
Suggested solution:
Facebook NEEDS to Send the Money they Collected ILLEGALLY to the CITY of Lake City ~ PO Box 1 ~ Lake City, MI ~ 49651
Check NEEDS to be made out to Missaukee Mountain.
FB should MULTIPLY the AMOUNT for setting up this FRAUDULENT ACCOUNT ~ THEN REFUSE to Forward the Money to Missaukee Mountain ~ INSTEAD ~ KEEPING the money for Facebook.
We work with VOLUNTEERS and DONATIONS and struggle to keep our little local ski area available in our LOW INCOME area in Northern Michigan.
I believe we are ONLY one of seven in the US that has been able to stay open because of all of us who volunteer to keep it open. We are a family oriented in our small community. We only have tow-ropes ~ a little warming lodge serving Chile, Hot Dogs, Hot Chocolate and Coffee and offer Rental Skis and Snowboards.
We have a Cross County Ski Trail that Volunteers maintain and a Free Sledding Hill.
We always welcome donations to be sent to the above address and Checks made out to Missaukee County.
The last five years, we have had a lack of snow in Northern Michigan, thus I was asking for donations to do repairs and some upkeep that is Required by the Health Department and Safety Department on the Tow Ropes.
I did NOT help Missaukee Mountain for Facebook to ILLEGALLY COLLECT MONEY from my friends that was donated and then for Facebook to KEEP that money and DENY they have it and REFUSE to send it to Missaukee Mountain.
There are Federal Agencies investigating Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg and I think they NEED to investigate this problem.
If Facebook did this to me ~ HOW many others have they done it to ~ Stealing MONEY from innocent victims who gave generously to help Missaukee Mountain and INSTEAD Facebook KEPT the money!!!
