My complaint:
Seller misrepresented an automobile programmer or tuner as having two more ‘unlocks’ left in it. The programmer locks to a vehicle when the automobile computer tune is installed, and unlocks from a vehicle when the computer tune is returned to the programmer memory. Then and only then can the programmer be used on another vehicle. One programmer has only one tune. It is either in the vehicle (locked, or married), or on the programmer (unlocked). I will have to pay the programmer manufacturer $200 to unlock the programmer so that I can use it on my vehicle. The price I paid to the seller, plus the manufacturer’s unlock fee of $200 is the same as the price for a new in the box programmer. And of course the seller knows all this, and listed the programmer as not returnable.
Suggested solution:
I feel the seller or ebay should reimburse me for the programmer and the expedited shipping costs that I incurred to purchase a programmer that was already locked to another vehicle.
