My complaint:
I spend on average €450 week in Dunnes stores. Today I did a quick self scan shop. After the machine was still ‘authorising’ for 5 minutes I asked the assistant to help me to which she replied give it time! After 10 minutes the same thing was happening so she went to get someone. He wasn’t able to help so disappeared. I then asked again and she got a supervisor. She disappeared to try to help. I was left standing without any update. I am now at the self scan for 20 minutes. I was furious. I had to leave my shopping and go find the original supervisor. She was trying to get onto the manger who wasn’t picking up. As I was only doing a quick shop I had left my kids in the car. They had now been there 25 minutes. This is the worst case of customer service that I have ever experienced. I was then told to check my bank account to see if the monies were debited. I am the customer, I’m chasing the supervisor, Im told by a security man to check my account….There must be something wrong here! Just for your information the shop was not busy – maybe I could have excused it if it was. The frozen goods that I had bought were defrosting by the time I got home and needless to say I had some very upset children in the car.
Suggested solution:
Work on your staff and their ability to help customers. It is the worst case of customer service I have EVER experienced.
