My complaint:
I’ve had many issues with dollar general employees , from being basically called a liar, to being treated as if I was stealing from the store( I wasn’t,btw) to being downright verbally disrespected! This particular incident was just a few days ago! I purchased a 15$ item that was on clearance for 7.50! Didn’t open the package and changed mind about giving as a gift! Very next day , receipt in hand , went to dg to return it! The clerk didn’t know how to change price to 7.50 cause register kept ringing up full price! She called a manager at home who for few minutes tried to walk her thru different steps to give my refund! I had several more items to buy this day so I said could just use towards todays purchase? After few min of this, the manager said to tell me “ we cannot return clearance items” ! In all my years of shopping there I’ve never been told I couldn’t return sale/clearance items! Also there is nowhere listed on clearance sign that items could not be returned! Nor was it anywhere on the receipt! But knowing there was nothing more I could do I paid for my purchases and left store! While going over the receipt I found where this time one of my items did not ring up correctly! So Il be headed back there to ask them to reimburse the difference or return altogether! I’ve been overcharged more then half of my frequent visits to dg, and I’m very polite about it and do not disrespect anyone but I get upset every time I have a return because I never know how Il be treated etc…. In fact I don’t shop there like I used to because of how the employees , especially managers treat most customers!
Suggested solution:
Refund me what I paid! Or better yet for all the problems refund me plus extra for all the time gas and effort I put into shopping at this store!
