Dollar General complaint: faulty coupon app and poor customer service

My complaint:

after downloading the store app, and spending a fair amount of time choosing, then shopping for the items’ we needed, which totaled well over 100 dollars the stores computer wouldnt recognize my cell number associated with my account. The time was five minutes to 10pm. The stores manager seemed obviously annoyed when we asked him for assistance and pretty much said to us he didnt know anything about how the coupon system and there was nothing he could do for us.
Now, with that being said. We were anticipating saving a fair amount of money because this shopping trip was planned ahead and we spent what my wife and i consider alot of time learning how the coupon app works, then choosing the products, then going to the store and finally the hour it took to shop. just to end paying full price because of a flawed app and a manager who refused to offer any assistance.

This wouldn’t of got under our skin any other time but because of the current situation the world is in and the struggles many of us are having financially we were counting on these savings but instead we saved nothing

Suggested solution:

A generous gift card would be appreciated, but i never did anything like this before so i dont know what DG does in cases like this, whatever the amount is we have decided to donate it to a couple less fortunate families we know.
