There was only one checkout open, it was a self-serve, cash/debit only. I asked the clerk if she could open the other checkout ring me out, since I’d never done a self-serve before I was paying with cash. I have limited eyesight was having a hard time seeing the screen. She didn’t give me a chance to explain why I needed her help to check out. She said I’m the only one here. I suppose I could lock the doors just take care of you, and then reopen the store. I was shocked!!! She did at least explain how to operate the self checkout. I told her I would try my best, and she walked away. There were 7 people in line behind me waiting to check out, and some were getting impatient. I finally did get my items checked out by myself paid for, but no receipt printed out. I rang the bell for the clerk, she couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t print. I said thank you, she told me to have a nice day!! I turned apologized to the other customers. I had to leave the store very upset, embarrassed, with no receipt for my merchandise.

I have been a nearly weekly customer in this store since it opened a few years ago. It is convenient because I can’t drive far due to bad eyesight, plus I am handicapped use a cane. I have always been treated decently at this store until today. I understand that you cannot seem to get enough help to stock shelves also wait on customers, I’m sure this clerk was only following protocol, but the snotty comment was unnecessary. There must be something done, because I will never use a self-checkout again, I will walk out leave my merchandise in the basket if that is my only option!!!.

I DON’T WORK FOR YOU, YOU YOUR CLERKS WORK FOR ME!!! MY BUSINESS PAYS THEIR WAGES KEEPS YOUR STORE RUNNING!!!

I strongly suggest you look into this lack of staff immediately before your store has no customers left!!!

I did not think to get the clerk’s name, I was so upset.

FIND MORE HELP TO ASSIST CUSTOMERS, HAVE A PLEASANT ATTITUDE!!!
