My complaint:
I stopped in at this location on 19 Feb, 2021 (approximately 1:32 check out time) to do some quick shopping as I was on my way home and do not live in the area. I live about 60 miles away in Tampa and did not realize that the last four items on my receipt were obviously left in the carousel. The items missing were as follows; a package of Nathan hot dogs, a package of Dollar General brand sliced swiss cheese and two packages of dark chocolate wafer rolls. I immediately called the store and was told that the clerk that waited on me left for the day and there was nothing that’s a clerk that was now on duty could do and instructed to call back the following day as both the Mgr and Asst. Mgr would both be on duty and they would assist me to resolve this dilemma. I have attempted to call sometimes starting at 9:30 a.m. and now it is 1 p.m. it rings 12 to 15 times each time and then it appears they are taking it off the hook. I will be getting ahold of Dollar General Corporate first thing Monday morning and, I wish that this store was closer because I would drive up there now because I’m so livid about the obvious phone games that they are playing. There is no excuse for what’s going on now with the phones at this location.
Suggested solution:
I want my money refunded or I would like to go to the nearest Dollar General to my location where I live and be able to replace those items and all it would take is a phone call from them and my receipt which I have.
