Complaint: Disrespect of Manager

My complaint:

Husband and I stopped at Applebee’s off S Dirksen Parkway to have supper. After receiving our supper, husband went to use the salt shaker and nothing came out. After checking we realized the salt shaker was not dry prior to putting salt in. Manager Marvin came over to see what the complaint was and responded it will be checked after business hours, well we were given 2 additional salt shakers and they two did not work again the manager just looked at use and said again it will be looked at, at the end of the shift. Marvin did not apologize or anything just brushed us off like dirt. Husband I have been in the restaurant business over 50 years and this is not the way to handle it. We will not be back there again.

Suggested solution:

Manager could have been polite and apologize and offered us a discount or something. Even the coleslaw was dry and nasty. Husband was purchasing manager, ex-chef at the Holiday Inn East and Crown Plaza, Chef at Norb Bandy downtown. And we owned our own restaurant in Indiana before moving here. Customer service is 1
