My complaint:
My daughter traveled through Denver on November 22 and November 26. When she went into the service animal relief areas within the A and B terminals with her service-dog-in-training, they were so filthy from past users that she started gagging as she entered, and her dog refused to use it. On November 26, she found an area within the airport that had artificial turf and access to the outside . She said that while that area smelled better, it was still filthy. Unfortunately, it seems that users cannot be relied upon to clean up after their animals. Please hire somebody to keep these areas clean. After traveling for 5 hours, her dog was desperate to use the bathroom. In the end, on November 22, she had an accident on the terminal floor. That was embarrassing for both my daughter and her service-animal-in-training. It could have been avoided if the facilities had been kept clean. And yes, she informed somebody so that it could be properly cleaned.
Suggested solution:
Hire somebody to keep the service animal relief areas clean. They need to be cleaned, meaning hosed down, at least once per day. Somebody needs to go in and check regularly to make sure there isn't dog poop just sitting around. Unfortunately, lots of people with animals are inconsiderate. Please don't allow their bad manners to ruin everybody else's day.
