My complaint:

A Washerdryer we had ordered in December 2020 broke down in June 2021. A contractor attended and advised that parts would need to be ordered. After a week, having not heard any news, I contacted CurrysPC World who informed me that parts had been ordered. Again, having not heard anything for a wee- 10 days, called again to be told that it would be September (6 Weeks away) before the parts came in. This advisor then offered to write off the machine as it was a long time to wait for the the parts.
Since that call, I have been on the phone every week,- sometimes 3 times a week – trying to organise a new machine, being told it was out of stock, ordering an alternative , again one call said it was ordered, the next call said it hadn’t been ordered(I was waiting for notification of a code in order to be able to arrange delivery). Then it had again – still no notification of delivery date which leads me to the final call where I was told that this machine was now out of stock until 29th September. A 3 year care plan was purchased along with the machine, however, due to the new replacement having a standard 10 year warranty, I cancelled this. I did receive a pro rata refund, however, as the machine had a standard 1 year warranty, I feel that a full refund for the care plan was justified.
To add insult to injury, when this order was placed in December 2020, I paid for our old machine to be removed and recycled. This was left in the corridor outside my flat after not being removed, I had to pay a third party company in order to remove it.

Suggested solution:

Better communication. Why was I not informed that the parts would take so long or that the machines were out of stock on the first few calls rather than having to constantly phone. I'm sure that you would not stand for being without a washing machine for 3 months.
Refund the balance of the Care plan (£30) and the charge to remove our old machine in December (£20)
