My complaint:
This Circle K is located at 401 State St in New Albany, IN. I ordered a pack of Marlboro Light Menthol shorts. She asked me what color they were. I said green with gold. She rudely said you mean, green, white, and gold? I responded with yes. Well she had earbuds in and was on the phone with someone. She said, “girl I don’t know why people gotta get an attitude. I don’t smoke”. I told her I wasn’t getting an attitude and that she was the one with the attitude. She put my cigarettes down and told me I can go somewhere else and get what I need. I asked to speak to the manager and she hollered for the girl, I think her name was Christine. I apologized to the 4 customers behind me in line. She then tells me her full name and says I can call whoever I want and tell them and that she didn’t care. I think her first name was Anastasia or something. After the other girl rang me up, she was still saying things to me. I said bye, you have a great night Anastasia. She said I didn’t say her name right and said, get it right “pinky bitch”. I could not believe her behavior or her discrimination by making fun of my skin color because I’m white and she’s African American. If she is not terminated for this kind of behavior, I will continue making sure that she is. Racists behavior should not be allowed when working in a customer service environment.
Suggested solution:
She should be terminated at the least. I go to this Circle K all the time because it’s right down the street from my house.
