My complaint:
I became sick around 7 pm on March 17. I was vomiting and had diarrhea for 5 straight hours. Around 2 am I was so dehydrated I went to medical. I told them I thought it was something I ate. I was given IV with meds. By mid morning I was better but still I was not well so I went back to medical. I was screamed at by the doctor on board wanting to know why I was back.
I told him I thought I needed another round of IV. I had a Covid test the night before and it was negative. He started screaming that I needed to get off the boat in San Juan. I was shocked and said that I was not comfortable doing that. He proceeded to yell at me. He did finally give me more IV.
After 2 blood tests he said my “blood no good “. I asked what that meant. He stated they could not get a reading because we were in Caribbean. I find this untrue. I was forced to sign some kind of waiver and when we asked for a copy he stated we did not need one. I don’t know the doctor name but he was from Belgium. I went back to my room and was unable to leave my stateroom for the rest of the cruise. This was a specialty cruise and was expensive.
After returning home I went immediately to my doctor and was diagnosed with food poisoning. I ate from the buffet that day. Indian food and a rib. My husband was fine. He chose to eat a hamburger. I will no longer choose Celebrity Cruise in the future. I have been sick for 2 weeks.
Suggested solution:
Since this was a specialty cruise and could not enjoy any of it I would like a refund
