My complaint:
After filing the initial paperwork we were told that we met all of the criteria to receive the help needed to prevent being evicted. Our caseworker said that because our rent was below fair market value that we were all set. It has now been two months and our landlord can’t wait to receive payment and we are being evicted on the 5th of October. We have reached out to the Fall River office many times leaving several voice messages. Not one person has returned our phone call. We aren’t able to sleep at night and are under extreme stress. I even reached out to Fr. George Williams S.J. a priest I worked for during my incarceration. I have been clean and sober since September 23, 2015 and I’m extremely worried of relapsing especially if I become homeless. I’ve even been the victim of a violent crime, being held up at knife point and stabbed with my intestines coming out in my hands…yet I have remained strong in faith even with PTSD and remained clean and sober through it all. The Fall River office is causing me tremendous pain and suffering.
