My complaint:
On Dec 11 I received a notification that a charge for 41.73 was declined at a Walmart. I immediately assumed someone stole my cash app card but when I checked my purse it was in there. I immediately went to cash app app and reported card stolen. I was waiting on a new card when another notification came through saying a charge of 41.73 was approved and went through. One I knew I didn’t have the funds in my cash app account and then two I had reported my card stolen 4 days prior. I then noticed my cash app account was negative 41.73 which me nor anyone else I know have ever seen a negative cash app balance. So out of curiosity I had two people cash app me 1.00 which immediately deducted from the 41.73 balance and now it says negative 39.40. So apparently any monies anyone sends to me through cash app will be taken by cash app. I’ve tried closing my account but it won’t allow me to and I’m not getting a response as to why. It’s as though they are getting paid 40.00 at my expense.
Suggested solution:
Cash app can refund me my 2.00 and close my account. Especially since they seem to not be able to address my concerns.
