My complaint:
My iriginal complaint as filed with complain.biz on August 2,2020 stated that Cash App, through Chris Adams had stolen $776.00 from my cash app account. I had originally called Cash App on Saturday, Aug 1, 2020, to resolve an issue with my card as I planned to use it on that day to pay my rent. Chris Adams, per cash app policy, had me download AnyDesk app by which he insinuated himself into my bank account,my coin bit account as well as my cash app account. He hung up on me when I realized all the transactions he had performed on my account had left me with a $2.00 balance as opposed to the $776.00 I originally had in it, and wanted me to get 2 persons to verifyme by sending $200.00 each to my account. My sister’s cash app was subsequently locked and her er call, money has been of no use to her since. Ricky,another employee on another call told me emphatically that the only way I had of getting my money back, . was by buying a google play card and sending it to him, which I stupidly did. Nothing was resolved and my repeated calls have resolved nothing. I have spoken with, including the young lady today,August 4th. With 6 cash app employees. Today the young lady tells me I have to buy a $1000.00 card and send her, so my money will be returned to me. Should I fail to do that I will lose my money for good. I fo not have $1000.00 to send them so they give my $1050.00 back to me. This cannot be legal. I need my money as I am on fixed income and am 75 years old. That is the only income I have and would certainly never tell a stranger to just leave me without for the month. They gave to be held responsible.

Chris Adams and Ricky weren’t employees of Cash App.
Cash App employees don’t make you download apps nor buy Google Play cards. Cash App employees don’t even talk on the telephone to customers.

My money disappeared from Cash App, my bank account was overdrafted by cash app as evidenced by withdrawals to cash app from my bank. I have repeatedly contacted cash support to no avail. This is not the first time this has happened with cash app,however, I will not let this go. Enough is enough.
