My complaint:
An account messaged me on Instagram I obviously didn’t know if it was fake or not this is the link to his account https:instagram.comzaddy___berry_?igshid1jluc0mwpzvih . He told me he would send me 2,000 weekly to help pay for my schooling at Sam Houston University. Doing what any broke college kid would do I said that sounds good to me. He said I needed to send him $20 to ensure that I was real so I did. In the end I ended up sending him $250 dollars in separate transactions to “verify” my account. After doing this I realized I made a horrible mistake and had a minor lapse in judgement. I requested a refund for my money and of course this scammer declined it. I can’t believe that cash app is this unaware of how many scams are going on with the use of their app. I am so upset and need my $250 back. I have screen shots of his account to verify it because I know that scammers delete all their stuff once they receive the money. I would like to talk with someone about this and need my money back.
