My complaint:

I am filing this complaint through in the hopes that I will get some action on your part. All I’ve been getting from your support section is Robo texts. I have a very serious problem here. I have a cash app account with $6,000 in it that I am unable to access anymore. This is very serious. I need to speak to someone to resolve this. I am 70 years old and I’m not into technology. I cannot do this on my own, and your explanations from your Robo messages do not do anything. This is complicated. Otherwise the next step is legal action, and I will be bad-mouthing cash app up and down the internet.

Here is the situation….. I created my original cash app account last year basically for one person to deposit money, a tenant of mine who wanted to use cash app. It worked fine until I cracked my phone and got a new one. The following month the tenant could not deposit into my account, and I could not figure out at the time why that was the case. I did not realize that with a new phone you had to re-establish certain things with your account. It was a little hectic. He was trying to get the money to be as soon as possible and I wanted it as soon as possible. So, I decided to create a new cash app account. I did not know that apparently you can’t have two cash app accounts. I created a new account with a username that was identical to my original account with the addition of a couple of numbers to make it unique. The tenant attempted to send money to the new account but it was rejected. In the end I had him send me a money order. But then, I could not access my original cash app account anymore. Puff, it went away, together with my $6,000 .

It’s hazy to me now as a number of months have gone by, but I remember at one point while trying to access the old account I got a message that said that either my phone number or email account name was already taken. I think what happened was thst your system is preventing me to access my old account because it’s now Associated my email or phone number the new account. I have approximately $6,000 in my original cash app account!!! I cannot get access to it!!! I need you to call me and figure out a way to resolve this!!!
