My complaint:
WENT INTO RESTAURANT DURING A DAY OUT AND ORDERED MEAL ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN. PLACED MY ORDER. MACHINE TOOK THE ORDER THEN SAID ERROR- TRY AGAIN. SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY FRIEND WHO WAS ORDERING ON THE MACHINE AT THE SIDE OF ME. I TRIED AGAIN. THIS TIME THE TRANSACTION WAS AUTHORISED, BUT I WAS NOT GIVEN A RECEIPT BY THE COMPUTER. I WENT TO THE COUNTER AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED. THEY SAID THAT THE ORDER HADN’T GONE THROUGH THEIR SYSTEM, SO THEY WOULD NOT BE FULFILLING MY ORDER, AND THAT PAYMENT WOULD NOT THEREFORE HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM MY CREDIT CARD. ON THAT BASIS I THEN LEFT THE RESTAURANT. I HAVE SINCE RECEIVED MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT AND SEE THAT I HAVE, IN FACT BEEN CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD THE SUM OF £9.49. THE DATE OF THE TRANSACTION WAS 3RD APRIL 2022.
Suggested solution:
I WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND TO MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE £9.49 I PAID. ALTERNATIVELY, IF BURGER KING CHOOSE TO DEAL WITH THIS MATTER BY WAY OF A VOUCHER, THE VOUCHER WOULD NEED TO BE FOR AN AMOUNT IN EXCESS OF THE £9.49 AS I WOULD NEED TO TRAVEL TO A BURGER KING TO USE THE VOUCHER.
