My complaint:
On arrival at hotel we noticed reception area had carpet taped in many places and looked run down. This and the bar area was nothing like it was shown on the website infact I don’t believe it was the same hotel as the pictures displayed. Entering the lifts to go to our rooms sent alarm bells ringing! Dirty tissues on the floor of lift along with rubbish and the rest of the lift was filthy.
Coming out of the lift we were hit by a stench of cheap lemon airfreshner, stale cigarette smoke and weed. The corridor looked dirty and run down. Inside the room was absolutely horrendous. Bed sheets stained and looked like they had already been slept in with hairs on them. Bedside table had sticky residue all over it. Only one light worked. Thick dust and remainders of food under the beds. Curtains stained. Mirrors filthy with something splattered over them. The bathroom had pubic hair in the bath, what looked like blood splattered on the wall, the sink surround was filthy, lock on bathroom door broken, again mirror was filthy.
The wardrobe had no doors left on it and the hanging pole was so bent it looked like it would snap had we tried to use it. I complained immediately to the manager who offered us another room. We looked at 2 more, one was in an even worse state and the other no better. No apology, just a shtrug of the managers shoulders!! We checked out within an hour of being there!!
Suggested solution:
It would be nice to have some form of acknowledgement to the many emails I have sent and at least an apology. I\'m still awaiting my refund. This hotel has serious issues and should be prevented from advertising falsely at the very least.
