Avis Car Rental complaint: Unsafe vehicle

My complaint:

We hired a car from Avis at JFK airpot 11th Aug 2023 I drove the vehicle to Stratford and then to Westport and then realised that the two front tyres were bald . on the 13th we left our hotel early so that we could get to Avis for a replacement, the first two sites didn’t have a vehicle for us .

We then went to White Plains Airport.
When we drove in we asked to attendant what to do , he checked the tyres and agreed that they were bald we then went to airport building to the Avis desk, the wasn’t at any point an apoligy for what we had experienced . the car we had ,had a Sat Nav built in ,the replacement didn’t when I went into the Avis desk to inform them of this , they just replied with either you take the car without a SatNav or the one with bald tyres. I really don’t expect this kind of service. The employee in the car lot explained to us that they don’t have anyone checking the cars for these problems, they just wash , vacuum and send them back out.
We stayed with the car without the SatNav and continued with our journey, we missed a day of activities because of this.
When we returned to JFK a car pulled in beside us and low and behold it was our original car a young family was getting out of it , to our absolute shock the tyres had not been changed and were now in a even worse state the rubber from the tyres was hanging off. We have photographic evidence of this dated the 25th aug 2023 at 4pm.with registration number the same as the one we hired on the 11th August and returned on the 14th August.
We are absolutely appalled by this service, obviously Avis are showing no care on the safety of their customers.
TO SUMMERISE.
We were given a car to drive our family in that wasn’t roadworthy.
Avis staff showed no interest on what had happened.
Then to hire out the vehicle without replacing the tyres.
What we would like out of this complaint is to be reassured that this will be looked into and that this doesn’t happen again also compensation for our bad experience and loss of time on our expensive holiday which was to give our family a good experience not a unsafe one.

Suggested solution:

We like to have ed that take the safety of their customers seriously and for them to let us know how they will address this. Also I feel we should have compensation for our bad experience and the loss of time on our family holiday.
