My complaint:

My girlfriend stopped by the arco on 10159 Alondra Blvd. Bellflower,CA 90706 at 03082020 11:40pm
Running on empty to the gas station. Had prepaid arco gas card that her college provided. With money on the card, she first asked if the cashier may scan the card to see how much is on, once you go over the amount it is automatically declined, so she wanted the exact amount. Instead of the cashier scanning the PREPAID ARCO GAS CARD he then distrusted saying no, over and over as if she is wrong and he is right. She has done this at many locations without issue… She then nicely and calmly tries to explain on yeah sounds weird but the card is a prepaid arco gas card and the cashier now becomes rude with her and tells her that he won’t help her unless she has money. She then with an emotional voice to please just check because she doesn’t have any gas to get home she only has the card that has money enough for 2 gallons to get home tonight. She had no wallet and I was on the AirPod the entire time listening to what was going on… Picture of the man provided as I had to go down to the location myself to confront as to why he could not scan the card, asked for managers number and he said he did not have it. I tried to ask for his name and he did not provide it.

Justified complaint?

Suggested solution:

The man should not be so rude, belittling, and do his job and scan the gas card. If he really did not know anything about this then maybe arco should provide proper training to prevent emotional damage to the woman that happened to be my girlfriend. Stranded in a ghetto place with no cash arco should really get their act together before this happens to a public figure.
