My complaint:
I just went to local Arco station corner of Marvin Rd and Hawks Prairie here in Lacey, WA. Was on my Harley and had gas can for mower gas on back seat. Inserted card, was told to see cashier…. tried again, inserted card…..see cashier…what, thought we were supposed to AVOID CONTACT. STAY OUT OF STORES…. and I’ve used my card there often. Now, when I’m supposed to stay away from folks, I have to go in. So I go in and have it explained I have to pick a dollar amount but will only be charged for what I use. I need regular for lawn mower, premium for Harley… am told have to come back in a second time….serious WTF??
I WENT TO THE 7-11 DOWN THE STREET and had no issue using card twice. Maybe that’s my new gas station….
Suggested solution:
Make using cards at least as easy as it used to be, maybe easier...but forcing folks to go in when we are told to stay out is nuts. Have to assume this is a miscommunication cause there is certainly no indication of forethought.
