My complaint:
I was sitting at bar with a Applebees 6259 E. Southern Mesa Az 85206. 8/2/23 at 4/2pm sporting a Applebees hat. I have been wearing this hat for years. All of a sudden new manager Raul told me to take hat off fearing customers may complain. Took my hat off he took it. I told him it’s not his. He gave it back. Just rude. This was in front of several customers. Asked to speak to GM Tommy ( wanted to talk in private) he arrived and spoke to me in front of others stating he will not allow Applebees logos to be worn at the bar. I showed him on line where you can buy these T-shirts and hats. Arts ad shirts from past employees too. He said he didn’t care. All bars allow logos to be worn at their establishment . So no one can wear Applebees shirts or hats in America? Is there a policy? Was I hurting anyone. Tommy said no one has complained but it might happen. I told Tommy to advise customer I don’t work at bees. He did not want to understand or listen. Told him I’m goin to contact cooperate. He smiled and said “tell cooperate Tommy says hi” . What is wrong with 6259 E. Southern Mesa Az. I can provide conflict resolution to managers and staff. Especially concerning an insignificant subject as this.I’m have seen very inappropriate hats and t-shirts at this store. Managment turns head. Wear a Applebees logo they throw a tantrum.
Suggested solution:
Come on. Allow me to wear the Applebees hat/t-shirts with logo. Customers love it. No complaints, Applebees should be proud of someone will to purchase and advertise for free. One can buy these on line.
