My complaint:
I am also a victim of the poor customer service and the “run around” regarding the offers for the AMEX Delta Skymiles, I should have checked the reviews prior to applying but since I have several accounts with AMEX, I trusted that it would be a good experience.
Applied for the card on Delta.com in Sept. 2023, $300.00 statement credit and 30,000 Skymiles after spending $1,000 in 6 months.
Spent $4,357 in Sept., $286 in Nov. and $341 in Dec., nearly $5K and still have not received my bonus offers.
Every time I got the statement I called inquiring and was told that would get on the next one…today “Abigail” left me on hold for over 50 minutes before disconnecting my call, and not calling back despite getting my “best contact phone number” …check the call log/recording. What kind of customer service is this?
She said that my airline purchases are not eligible, where is that stated on the Offer Terms?
This is what it says:
Eligible purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits. Eligible purchases to meet the spend requirement do NOT include fees or interest charges, cash advances, purchases of traveler’s checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, purchases of gift cards, person-to-person payments, or purchases of any cash equivalents. Additional Card Members on your account are not eligible for their own offer.
Called back and got Mel, I don’t even know if these names are real, she said that my purchases are eligible and I should have gotten the offer bonus after 8-12 weeks, it has been 16 weeks already, but she can’t do anything about it either… Really AMEX ? Look at my current accounts (Platinum, Gold and Green) and see if this is the customer service I should expect.
