My complaint:

Hello I was today in Aldi church lane Bedford and I had got a weird treatment I have never experienced in Aldi before
Knowing that I am a regular customer of Aldi as I am doing my shopping every week from aldi and Tesco
I bought my shopping and my son took the shopping bags from his back bag and sort it in the trolley as we used to do every time
But the cashier Steve checked our shopping bags knowing that he didn’t do that with the white man was before us and actually I didn’t find anyone else did that
He said we are checking the shopping bags since 3 months
I said I am here every week and no one checked my shopping bags before and I said I need your name and he refused to tell me his name and he called one woman called skinta and she came and talked to us very rude without introducing herself and said yes we are checking the bags from 2 months not like Steve the cashier said from 3 months
Now both were really rude
And because me and my family are dark skinned so I assumed this is kind of racism to us
Never had this experience before in Aldi
This was the first time and I really need to know why did they do that and they have to know how to treat customers
Knowing that if someone want to steal they have their own method which they will not put what they stole in the shopping bags opened in front of everyone
That was absolutely racist behaviour from this cashier and the woman he brought her to us
Knowing that he refused to let me pay cause there was a long queue behind me and I wanted to pay and talk to someone
Really I was very upset and I regretted not going to Tesco this time at least I’ll not face this situation

Suggested solution:

Teach the stuff that not everyone dark skinned is a thief specially that the member staff I had this issue with was south Asian but he treated the white customers before me in a very polite manner and didn’t check his shopping bags
Teach the staff not to be racist and how to deal with customers from different backgrounds
