My complaint:

On December 11th, 2021, I logged into my Call of Duty: Modern Warfare account, which I had purchased for $60, to jam out a few sessions with my mates. I have been an account holder for over two years and have invested almost 500 hours into Modern warfare through 4 active seasons. Additionally, I have always maintained genuine account standing with Activision.

I maintain a position as being in the top 1.4% of the COD player base for having the highest KD ratio and have over 150 friends I rotate the battlegrounds with on a day-to-day basis.

Before I could even load into a lobby with my team, I was disconnected from the server and kicked back to my desktop (I play on PCWindows 10). Once COD finally closed, I looked at my Battle.net launcher and saw a new notification below the Play Now button: Account banned.

I have never attempted to modify, edit, or change any data within my COD installation. Nor have I ever hung around people who were hacking, cheating, abusing, or violating the Code of Conduct outlined in the Terms and Agreement put forth by Activision. While investigating my account ban, a splash page popped up and advised I should have received an email notification to my account summarizing the reason. Seventy-two hours later, I am still without an email, text, or any explanation as to the reasoning behind my ban.

I urge Activision to examine my account thoroughly and not readily dismiss my claim of innocence so haphazardly like they previously did in 4 hours. I have been an active FPS shooter in the COD community for longer than four years, with my recently suspended account having more than 500 hours of game time on it. Maintaining a good account standing and building relationships has always been my primary goal in this community.

Suggested solution:

Activision should lift the ban from my account, restore all of my purchases, rank, and account standing.

I have the same issue, on the 21st of December i tried to log into my account to be greeted by a permanent ban messege. I to have never cheated nor modified game files. My account had over 250 hours of play time and hundreds of dollars in blueprints that i purchased. I purchased Vangaurd on preorder, and ive owned call of duty ever since i could hold a controller. I have been playing COD for years and never had any issues as i always played on console. I made the fatal error of buying a brand new laptop to be able to play away from home. Within a week of playing on my brand new laptop, running windows 11, i could not log in and saw the banned account, i asked for details and simply got the generic email “unauthorized software and manipulated game data”.
