My complaint:
On the 9th of June 2020 I bought a drone on wish to the value of $984.00 plus postage of $18.00 a total of $1002.00.
The only comment that was left was the item has left the store and no tracking number. A couple of weeks later there was still no tracking number when I went to contact the supplier I couldn’t because their account was closed. I had a feeling then that I had been scammed. I tried to notify Wish but because of the computer generated responses it wouldn’t allow me to due anything and I would have to wait until the delivery date to do anything. When the delivery date was just about due wish extended the delivery date, when that date was close wish once again extended the date to 25th Aug 2020.
A week before the date date my bank cancelled my card and issued me a new card because a scammer was trying to withdrew money out of the old card which was cancelled.
I sent a refund request to Wish and was told it had been granted when it didn’t appear in my bank account. I contacted Wish and after a lot of running around with messages was told it would be investigated. I then got a message saying they would re-issue a refund. I went through the whole run around with with.
When I told them my old card had been cancelled and a new card was issued to me. They told me all I could get was Wish Dollars as a refund. I then notified them I didn’t want Wish Dollars because I’m a Pensioner doing it hard and I needed the money to survive and Wish Dollars would pay my bills.
The the last message I had from Wish said they where giving me the Wish Dollars and that is all they can do.
I now feel because the amount was a large amount they didn’t want to give me a refund. I feel I have been forced into get Wish Dollars and not a refund.
It’s bad enough I was scammed while using Wish I feel Wish have been scammed by Wish as well. This has now left a bitter taste in my mouth and I don’t want to shop on wish ever again. My account has a balance of $1002 Wish cash I’ll never use.
I have posted this complaint on complaint.biz so other won’t get caught in this trap wish have made.
Suggested solution:
By taking back the wish dollars and putting the refund into the card that is linked with my Wish account.
I have taken screen shots of the whole interaction I have had with Wish. What photos I have posted as proof are only the first couple of photos I have.
