I hired a vehicle from Rental cars at Melbourne Airport Australia for 4 days from the 2822019 to 3032019
On the Rental Cars website in Australia, prices are quoted in AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS and I have been charged in AMERICAN DOLLARS ie they converted $226.96 from US$ to AUD$
The $28.15 refund was from a prior experience whereby I received a credit for being supplied with an inferior vehicle to the one which I had ordered and does not relate to this disputed claim
The car hire charge should have been AUD$226.96 less credit due of AUD$28.15 AUD$198.81
Rental Cars have charged me US$226.19 converted to AUD$317.89 which was debited to my Amex card on the 23012019
So I am entitled to a refund of AUD$317.89 less AUD226.19 AUD$91.70 a previous credit of AUD28.26 AUD119.96
Rental Cars have declined my claim mainting that they charged me correctly
To order the identical vehicle for 4 days Thursday to Sunday at the end of June 2019 the price is AUS149.22

The momemt I received my American Express statement noting the charge I immediately contacted Rental cars and they have declined my claim giving all sorts of complaints. There is only 1 matter to consider is why did they make their charge in US$ when they have admitted that the all charges are in the currency of the country where the vehicle is hired and where the booking was made and that is AUSTRALIA
The attachment shows that a conversion was made from US$ to AUD$
