My complaint:
Came into Irvine store on Sunday 103022
Say that grass fed meat was 15% off. Got a variety of cuts, ribs , filet , rib eye etc.
got 2 gallons of milk and went to cashier. I noticed as she rung up the meat no discount was applied.
She said well it’s not on sale. Mam , there is a sign saying 15% off. Sir if it not coming off it’s not on sale. Well this happened before with chips that were on sale and cashier took off at the end. No help from this cashier. Excuse me there is a sign.
No response. She’s now calling manager.
I step to the side and the Manager shows up , he talks to her for a minute and asks me what’s the problem. Well I say the meats on sale , manager Mike says. Where ?show me ? With a attitude in his voice. Mind you, I have said the meats on sale
That’s it and he’s fired up. I take out my phone and show him a pic of sign. Mike looks at it and says.
oh yea. The price has 15% taken off already. But the manner in which he said it sounded like let’s see if this flies with customer. I responded with
Sir that makes no sense what is the original price so I can see the savings? Mike responds
So your calling me a liar about what I said?
What ??????
I say to Cashier. Take off meat and charge me the milk.
I did not continue to talk to this rude individual. I’ll file a complaint that Mike the manager in Irvine should not deal with customers.
Suggested solution:
1st. I'm hesitant to go back to sprouts , nobody wanted to help or explain or resolve. It was argumentative from the get go.
2nd. I enlarged the picture I took and in small print
I mean small print , it says sale is reflective in price on meat.
So again what was original price???
How does consumer see the difference ?
I think leave original price on then put new price tag over so people can see the difference.
